The process of implementing accessibility and organizing theatrical performances, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities. Case study of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest rozpoznanie, jakie wyzwania wiążą się z przygotowaniem spektaklu z uwzględnieniem potrzeb osób z niepełnosprawnościami. W ramach badań dokonano analizy zasobów ludzkich, rzeczowych, finansowych i informacyjnych Teatru im. Juliusza Słowackiego w Krakowie. Zbadano, jak instytucja zarządza dostępnością i stara się odpowiadać na potrzeby osób z niepełnosprawnościami. W celu przybliżenia problemu dokonano analizy danych zastanych oraz przeprowadzono wywiad pogłębiony z koordynatorką dostępności instytucji artystycznej. W badaniach rozpoznano wyzwania wiążące się z realizacją spektaklu teatralnego. Na podstawie badań wysnuto wnioski, iż organizacja jest w procesie ciągłego polepszania swoich zasobów i największy nacisk kładzie na zasoby ludzkie.

The aim of this study is to identify the challenges related to the preparation of a performance, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities. As part of the research, an analysis of human, material, financial and information resources of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow was carried out. It was examined how the institution manages accessibility and tries to respond to the needs of people with disabilities. In order to explain the problem, the existing data was analyzed and an in-depth interview was carried out with the coordinator of the artistic institution accessibility. The research identified challenges related to the production of a theatrical performance. Based on the research, conclusions were drawn that the organization is in the process of continuous improvement of its resources and puts the greatest emphasis on human resources as well.
