The Regional Resocialization Centre of adolescents addicted to drugs Twoja Peremoha, in Zhitomir, Ukraine. Monograph study.

The addiction to psychoactive drugs is currently the subject of special attention of researchers and practitioners on the post-Soviet territory, where there is a significant level of pathology associated with the psychoactive substances distribution and consumption. To highlight the problem of drug addiction and the way in helping individuals addicted to psychoactive substances in Ukraine the thesis focuses on the activities of the Regional Resocialization Centre of adolescents addicted to drugs Twoja Peremoha, in Zhitomir, Ukraine.In order to show the essential areas of negative impact on consumption of psychoactive drugs the author focuses on two aspects of the analysis of the institution – the support for drug users and their personal situation.In the section of literature review this paper includes the main information related to the phenomenon of drug addiction as a social problem. It defines the range in which this problem occurs and the information on addicts care and treatment in Ukraine.This analysis is complemented by a description and analysis of the structure and organization of the Centre Twoja Peremoha and the life situation of drug addicts: the course of the process of addiction and treatment. With the help of research tools, the addicted person is characterized and the functions of the addicts’ support in rehabilitation therapy center are determined.

Uzależnienie od środków psychoaktywnych stanowi przedmiot szczególnej uwagi naukowców i praktyków na całym postsowieckim terytorium, gdzie istnieje znaczny poziom patologii związanej z dystrybucją i spożyciem substancji psychoaktywnych. Aby naświetlić problem narkomanii i sposób wsparcia osób uzależnionych od środków psychoaktywnych w pracy skoncentrowano się na działalności Wojewódzkiego Centrum Reoscjalizacji Młodzieży Uzależnionej od Narkotyków „Twoja Peremoha” w Żytomierzu na Ukrainie.W celu ukazania zasadniczych obszarów negatywnych skutków dotyczących spożycia środków psychoaktywnych skoncentrowano się na dwóch aspektach dotyczących analizy działalności placówki - wsparcia osób uzależnionych i analizy ich sytuacji osobistej.W częśći poświęconej przeglądowi literatury przedmiotu zostały przedstawione główne informacje związane ze zjawiskiem uzależnienia od narkotyków, jako problemu społecznego. Określono zasięg, w jakim problem ten występuje oraz informacje dotyczące systemu opieki i terapii nad osobami uzależnionymi na Ukrainie.Powyższa analiza została dopełniona opisem i analizą struktury i organizacji Centrum „Twoja Peremoha” oraz sytuacją życiową osób uzależnionych (przebiegiem procesu uzależnienia i terapii). Przy pomocy narzędzi badawczych udało się scharakteryzować osoby uzależnione i określić funkcje wsparcia osób poddanym terapii ośrodka resocjalizacji.
