Human trafficking in Poland, Ukraine and Russia. An analysis of the phenomenon of human trafficking.

Cel pracy stanowi analiza zjawiska handlu ludźmi, co powoduje jego ciagłe występowanie oraz jakie czynniki temu sprzyjają. Autorka przebadała poruszaną problematykę poprzez analizę sytuacji prawno-społecznej w trzech sąsiednich państwach (Polski, Rosji oraz Ukrainy), w których proceder ten występuje. Wybór tych państw spowodowany był ścisłym powiązaniem tego zjawiska między nimi – Polska na przykład jest głównym krajem tranzytowym ofiar z Ukrainy i Rosji. Uzupełnieniem pracy jest przedstawienie defincji handlu ludźmi, ukształtowania jego znaczenia w prawie oraz przedstawienie rożnych jego form. Praca wykazuje, że handel ludźmi to nie jest przestępstwo, które należy wiązać z czasami nowożytnych podobojów kontynentalnych ale jest jak najbardziej aktualne. Ukazuje również jak istotne jest uświadamianie społeczeństwa o tym problemie oraz jak ważna jest działalność w tej sferze organizacji państwowych oraz pozarządowych.

The aim of this study is an analysis of the phenomenon of human trafficking and what is the cause of it still happening and what factors work in its favour. The author examined this issue through an analysis of the legal and social situation in three neighbouring countries (Poland, Russia and Ukraine), in which human trafficking is practiced. The choice of these countries was provoked by a strict connection of this phenomenon between them - Poland, for example, is the main transit country for the victims from Ukraine and Russia. A supplement to the study is a definition of human trafficking, the shaping of its meaning in the law and presenting different forms of it. The study shows that human trafficking is not a crime that should be connected with modern continental conquests, but one that is still present to this day. It also presents how crucial it is to bring this issue into the society's attention and how important it is for state organization bodies and non-governmental organizations to act in regards to this issue.
