Polish editions of "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen in 1945–2017

Celem pracy było omówienie czterdziestu jeden polskich edycji jednej z popularnych baśni Hansa Christiana Andersena - "Królowej Śniegu" - które pojawiły się na rodzimym rynku wydawniczym w latach 1945-2017 jako osobna pozycja. Na początku omówiono treść utworu oraz przedstawiono jego różne interpretacje. Krótko scharakteryzowano również wydania pojawiające się w Polsce do 1945 roku. Edycje z lat 1945-2017 podzielono na tłumaczenia i adaptacje, a podczas ich przedstawiania zachowano porządek chronologiczny. Wskazano różnice i podobieństwa między poszczególnymi tekstami oraz ich stosunek do oryginału. Skupiono się na aspekcie edytorskim, opisując szatę graficzną, układ typograficzny oraz estetykę wydania. Starano się również określić docelowego czytelnika tych książek i ocenić, czy dana edycja jest do niego odpowiednio dostosowana.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse 41 Polish editions of one of the most popular Hans Christian Andersen's writing - "The Snow Queen" - which appeared in 1945-2017. The first chapter presents the content of the fairy tale, its interpretations and Polish editions to 1945. The publications in 1945-2017 were divided into translations and adaptations. Differences and similarities beetwen texts and their relationship with the original were indicated. The focus was primarily set on the editorial aspect - layout, illustrations and aesthetics of the edition. It also attempted to determine the target reader of this books and evaluate adjustment of this publications to the children.
