KONFLIKTY SPOŁECZNO-POLITYCZNE JAKO PRZYCZYNY WYSTĘPOWANIA I ROZWOJU TERRORYZMU 80/5000 SOCIO-POLIC CONFLICT AS A REASON FOR THE OCCURRENCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF TERRORISM

Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej, której temat brzmi: „Konflikty społeczno – polityczne jako przyczyny występowania i rozwoju terroryzmu” jest przedstawienie konfliktów społeczno – politycznych jako przyczyn występowania i rozwoju terroryzmu. We współczesnym świecie wiele mówi się o terroryzmie, w związku z tym w niniejszej pracy została dokonana analiza tego zjawiska od początków jego powstania, która sięga czasów starożytnych aż do współczesności. Metodologią zastosowaną w pracy jest analiza zastanych źródeł, w których zaprezentowano omawianą problematykę. Aby przedstawić dokładnie tematykę terroryzmu w kontekście konfliktów społeczno – politycznych jako przyczyn pojawiania się i rozwoju tego zjawiska, praca przybrała charakter teoretyczny i została podzielona na cztery rozdziały. W rozdziale pierwszym omówiono pojawianie się i przekształcanie zjawiska terroryzmu. W początkowej części rozdziału wyjaśniono, iż konflikt społeczno - polityczny jest to sytuacja, w obrębie której konkretne grupy społeczne dążą do realizacji sprzecznych celów, ale także by wyrządzić szkody przeciwnikom. Zauważono, że to w jaki sposób przebiega konflikt zależne jest od tego jaka zostanie objęta taktyka działania. Kolejno opisano, iż początki terroryzmu przypisuje się czasom starożytnym. W końcowej części rozdziału opisano, iż istnieje wiele rodzajów zjawiska terroryzmu oraz czynników jego klasyfikacji. Rozdział drugi stanowi zaprezentowanie społecznych uwarunkowań powstania zjawiska terroryzmu. Na wstępie wskazano, iż najistotniejszymi źródłami i jednocześnie przyczynami terroryzmu są konflikty społeczne i międzynarodowe. Kolejno omówiono, iż za zjawiskiem terroryzmu stoją różnice o podłożu kulturowym, etnicznym i religijnym. W końcowej części rozdziału wskazano jak duże znaczenie ma terroryzm w kontekście globalizacji i odwrotnie. W rozdziale trzecim zaprezentowano konflikty polityczne jako przyczynę rozwoju terroryzmu. Przedstawiono, iż liczba ataków i działań terrorystycznych na świecie z roku na rok rośnie wraz z kosztami związanymi z walką przeciwko terroryzmowi. Kolejno dokonano charakterystyki politycznych uwarunkowań działalności terrorystycznej Irlandzkiej Armii Republikańskiej, której problem było zjednoczenie Irlandii. W rozdziale tym, wskazano także jak wielki wpływ miała polityka w kontekście zamachów dokonywanych przez organizację hiszpańskich Basków. W końcowej części rozdziału zaprezentowano, iż polityka odgrywała również wielką rolę w działaniach terrorystycznych innych organizacji. Rozdział czwarty stanowi omówienie działalności najgroźniejszej organizacji terrorystycznej jaką było w ostatnich latach Państwo Islamskiego. W początkowej części rozdziału zaprezentowano historyczne uwarunkowania działalności terrorystycznej. Następnie dokonano omówienia najważniejszych uwarunkowań skłaniających do działań terrorystycznych tej organizacji jakimi są różnice kulturowe i polityczne pomiędzy IS a światem zachodnim. Ostatnia część rozdziału opisuje pozostałe determinanty działalności Państwa Islamskiego.

The aim of this diploma thesis, the subject of which is "Socio-political conflicts as the causes of the occurrence and development of terrorism" is to present social and political conflicts as the causes of the occurrence and development of terrorism. In the modern world a lot is said about terrorism, therefore in this work an analysis of this phenomenon has been made from the beginning of its creation, which dates back to ancient times up to the present day.The methodology used in the work is the analysis of existing sources in which the discussed issues were presented.In order to present precisely the subject of terrorism in the context of social and political conflicts as the reasons for the emergence and development of this phenomenon, the work took on a theoretical character and was divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the appearance and transformation of the phenomenon of terrorism. In the initial part of the chapter it was explained that social and political conflict is a situation in which specific social groups strive to achieve conflicting goals, but also to inflict damage on opponents. It was noticed that the way in which the conflict proceeds depends on what tactics of action will be taken. It is further described that the origins of terrorism are attributed to ancient times. In the final part of the chapter it is described that there are many types of terrorism and the factors of its classification.The second chapter presents the social determinants of the emergence of the phenomenon of terrorism. At the outset, it was pointed out that the most important sources and at the same time the causes of terrorism were social and international conflicts. Subsequently, it was discussed that the phenomenon of terrorism is based on cultural, ethnic and religious differences. The final part of the chapter indicates the importance of terrorism in the context of globalization and vice versa.The third chapter presents political conflicts as the cause of the development of terrorism. It has been shown that the number of attacks and terrorist activities in the world increases year by year with the costs associated with the fight against terrorism. Subsequently, the political characteristics of the terrorist activity of the Irish Republican Army were characterized, the problem of which was the unification of Ireland. This chapter also shows how great the influence of politics was in the context of the attacks carried out by the organization of the Spanish Basque. In the final part of the chapter, it was presented that politics also played a large role in the terrorist activities of other organizations.The fourth chapter is a discussion of the activities of the most dangerous terrorist organization that was the Islamic State in recent years. In the beginning of the chapter, the historical conditions of terrorist activity were presented. Next, the most important conditions leading to the terrorist activities of the organization were discussed, such as the cultural and political differences between IS and the western world. The last part of the chapter describes the remaining determinants of Islamic State activity.
