Niniejsza praca dotyczy analizy Ontologii Genowej (Gene Ontology, GO) w badaniach wybranej jednostki chorobowej w chorobie Alzheimera (AD) z wykorzystaniem pakietu GOATOOLS, który jest narzędziem używanym w bioinformatyce do klasyfikacji i analizy funkcji genów. Przeanalizowano dane z dwóch niezależnych badań mikromacierzowych hipokampa, różniących się przygotowaniem próbek i specyfiką analiz. GOATOOLS wykorzystano w analizie dużych zbiorów danych genowych, umożliwiając wykrycie istotnych zmian molekularnych i strukturalnych, jak również identyfikację wspólnych i unikalnych terminów Ontologii Genowej.
Gene Ontology Analysis Using the GOATOOLS Package Based on Two Independent Studies of Hippocampus in Alzheimer's DiseaseThis thesis concerns the analysis of Gene Ontology (GO) in studies of a selected disease unit in Alzheimer's disease (AD) using the GOATOOLS package, which is a tool utilized in bioinformatics for the classification and analysis of gene functions. Data from two microarray studies of the hippocampus, differing in sample preparation and analysis specifics, were examined. GOATOOLS was used for the analysis of large genomic datasets, enabling the detection of significant molecular and structural changes, as well as the identification of common and unique Gene Ontology terms.
