Shadow economy and the formal economy in Poland and the world

Szara strefa to złożone zjawisko ekonomiczne towarzyszące każdej gospodarce na świecie. Ekonomiści spierają się o stopień zależności tego zjawiska od specyfiki gospodarczej państwa, w którym występuje. Praca opisuje główne czynniki gospodarcze sprzyjające rozwojowi szarej strefy w państwie, takie jak stopień rozwoju gospodarczego gospodarki oficjalnej oraz wolność gospodarcza obywateli. Praca wymienia też negatywne i pozytywne efekty, jakie sektor nieformalny wywiera na gospodarkę formalną.

Shadow economy is a complex economic phenomenon, which exists in every economy in the world. Economists argue over the degree to which this phenomenon is dependent on the specific economic conditions of the country in which it operates. The thesis describes the main economic factors that drive the development of the shadow economy in the country, such as the degree of economic development of the official economy, and the economic freedom of the inhabitants. The work also lists the negative and positive effects that the informal sector has on the formal economy.
