Israeli Mossad – genesis and activity based on selected examples

Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej jest  przedstawienie genezy, zarysu historii Mossadu oraz działalności  tej organizacji w oparciu o wybrane przykłady. Podstawowymi pytaniami, na jakie szuka się odpowiedzi w tej pracy, są: Kiedy i dlaczego powstał Mossad? Jaka jest jego rola? W jaki sposób działa? Praca licencjacka składa się z dwóch części. W części pierwszej przybliżona jest historia powstania Izraela oraz proces tworzenia się pierwszych służb wywiadowczych tego kraju. Skupiono się w niej  przede wszystkim na procesie formowania się organizacji, jaką jest Mossad oraz na celach jej działalności. Ponadto, scharakteryzowano proces werbowania oraz szkolenia przyszłych agentów wywiadu. W tej części zawarty jest opis emblematu, motta i statutu agencji oraz struktury Mossadu. Część druga poświęcona jest omówieniu wybranych misji Mossadu. W pierwszym podrozdziale poruszony zostaje wątek działalności Mossadu z Polską, który w głównej mierze dotyczy zdobycia tajnego referatu Nikity Chruszczowa przez Żyda polskiego pochodzenia – Wiktora Grajewskiego. Kolejny podrozdział poświęcony jest porwaniu przez agentów Mossadu przebywającego w Argentynie Karla Adolfa Eichmanna odpowiedzialnego za plan ostatecznego rozwiązania kwestii żydowskiej podczas II Wojny Światowej. Następnie uwaga skupiona zostaje na opisie zamachu z 5 września 1972 r. dokonanego przez organizację terrorystyczną Czarny Wrzesień podczas XX Igrzysk Olimpijskich w Monachium. Wątek ten powiązany jest z porażką Mossadu w norweskim Lillehammer i „polowaniem” na terrorystów, należących do organizacji odpowiedzialnej za masakrę monachijską.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the genesis, outline of the history of the Mossad and the activities of this organization based on selected examples. The main questions to be answered in this work are: When and why was the Mossad founded? What is his role? How does it work?The bachelor's thesis consists of two parts. The first part presents the history of Israel's founding and the process of creating the country's first intelligence services. It focuses primarily on the formation process of the Mossad organization and on the goals of its activities. Moreover, the process of recruiting and training future intelligence agents was characterized. This section describes the emblem, motto and charter of the agency and the structure of the Mossad. The second part covers selected Mossad missions. The first section deals with the topic of the Mossad's activity with Poland, which mainly concerns the acquisition of Nikita Khrushchev's secret report by a Jew of Polish origin - Wiktor Grajewski. The next section is devoted to the kidnapping by Mossad agents of the resident Karl Adolf Eichmann, who is responsible for the plan of the final solution of the Jewish question during World War II. Then attention is focused on the description of the attack on September 5, 1972, carried out by the terrorist organization Black September during the 20th Olympic Games in Munich. This thread is related to the defeat of the Mossad in Lillehammer, Norway, and the "hunting" of terrorists belonging to the organization responsible for the Munich massacre.
