Praca przedstawia losy królowej Katarzyny Aragońskiej - pierwszej żony Henryka VIII - analizując jej życie od momentu przybycia do Anglii aż po śmierć w osamotnieniu. Celem pracy było ukazanie Katarzyny nie tylko jako żony monarchy, ale także jako aktywnej uczestniczki życia politycznego, oddanej obrończyni wiary katolickiej oraz silnej osobowości, która przez lata cieszyła się autorytetem i uznaniem angielskiego społeczeństwa. W pracy wykorzystano współczesne opracowania, jak i dokumenty z epoki, takie jak: zachowane listy Katarzyny m.in do kardynała Thomasa Wolseya i cesarza Karola V, relacje ówczesnych ambasadorów przy dworze angielskim, zarówno cesarskich, jak i weneckich, a także kroniki. Wnioski pracy podkreślają, że Katarzyna była postacią o silnej osobowości, której losy miały wpływ nie tylko na życie dworskie, ale i na dzieje Anglii.

This thesis presents the life of Queen Catherine of Aragon - the first wife of Henry VIII - analyzing her story from the moment she arrived in England until her death in solitude. The aim of the study was to portray Catherine not only as the king's wife but also as an active participant in political life, a devoted defender of the Catholic faith, and a strong personality who, for many years, enjoyed authority and respect among English society. The work draws on both modern studies and primary sources, such as preserved letters written by Catherine - including those addressed to Cardinal Thomas Wolsey and Emperor Charles V - as well as reports from contemporary ambassadors at the English court (imperial and Venetian) and various chronicles. The conclusions emphasize that Catherine was a figure of great inner strength whose fate influenced not only court life but the broader history of England.
