Celem pracy jest analiza dzieła Bedy Czcigodnego, Dzieje Kościoła Anglów pod względem opsianych w niej wojen i konfliktów. Pod rozważanie została podjęta kwestia czy praca ta może stanowić źródło do dziejów militarnych królestw anglosaskich. Oprócz tego ma miejsce analiza sposobu, w jaki wojny i konflikty zostały przedstawione. Pytania jakie zostało postawione, dotyczy tego, czy Beda Czcigodny, mógł dostosować ich obraz dla własnej narracji oraz tego, co ona miała przekazać.
The aim of this work is to analyze Bede the Venerable's Ecclesiastical History of the English People in terms of the wars and conflicts described within it.This research aims to determine if Bede's work can be used as a historical source for understanding the military history of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. The study also examines how wars and conflicts are portrayed in the text. The questions raised pertain to whether Bede the Venerable may have adapted the depiction of these events to fit his narrative and what message he intended to convey through them.
