Comparative analysis of separatist movements in Spain and Northern Ireland.

Praca magisterska dotyczy analizy porónawczej ruchów separatystycznych w dwóch państwach- Hiszpanii oraz Irlandii Północnej. Idealnym przykładem dążeń separatystycznych jest Hiszpania oraz Irlandia Północna. W Hiszpanii na pierwszy plan wysuwają się dwie wspólnoty autonomiczne, mianowicie Kraj Basków i Katalonia. Irlandia natomiast, nazywana „zieloną wyspą” jest państwem o bogatej historii, kulturze i tradycji. Położona jest w Europie Zachodniej, na zachód od Wielkiej Brytanii. Przez ponad 800 lat znajdowała się pod panowaniem brytyjskim. Pod wieloma względami Irlandczycy mają wiele wspólnego z Polakami. Jest to w szczególności historia kraju, ale również duma, wiara i niezłomny upór. Przez wieki toczyła się walka o niepodległość Irlandii, aż w 1921 roku po układzie brytyjsko-irlandzkim, Irlandia w końcu wywalczyła sobie wolność. Układ ten dzielił jednak wyspę na Irlandię Północną, pozostającą nadal w granicach Wielkiej Brytanii i wolną - Republikę Irlandii. Porozumienie nie wprowadziło jednakże pokoju na wyspie. Doszło do walk o podłożu zarówno politycznym, jak i religijnym.W mojej pracy hciałabym się skupić głównie na trzech płaszczyznach zjawiska separatyzmu. Jako pierwsza zmienna do analizy wysuwa się kwestia historyczna, czyli uwarunkowania historyczne i ich wpływ na rozwój separatyzmów w obu państwach. Drugi aspekt jest to podłoże ruchów narodowowyzwoleńczych, natomiast trzeci to analiza działalności ruchów separatystycznych. Kolejnym aspektem jest odwołąnie się do bieżących wydarzeń w obydwu omawianych państwach oraz ukazanie konfliktów na przestrzeni lat.

Master's thesis concerns the comparative analysis of separatist movements in two countries- Spain and Northern Ireland. A perfect example is the separatist aspirations Spain and Northern Ireland. In Spain, they come to the fore two autonomous communities, namely the Basque Country and Catalonia. Ireland, however, called the "green island" is a country rich in history, culture and traditions. It is located in Western Europe, west of Great Britain. For more than 800 years it was under British control. In many ways, the Irish have much in common with the Poles. It is, in particular, the history of the country, but also pride, faith and steadfast stubbornness. For centuries there was a struggle for the independence of Ireland, until in 1921 a post-Anglo-Irish, Ireland finally won freedom. This system, however, the island was divided Northern Ireland, still remaining within the UK and slow - the Republic of Ireland. The agreement, however, has made no peace on this island. There was a struggle motivated both political and religious.In my thesis I want to focus mainly on three levels the phenomenon of separatism. As a first variable to analyze the historical issue pops up, or historical conditions and their impact on the development of separatism in both countries. The second aspect is the substrate liberation movements, while the third is an analysis of activities of separatist movements. Another aspect is to appeal to current developments in both these countries and show the conflicts over the years.
