Apocalypse of St. John in contemporary literature and Polish language education in secondary school

Pierwszy rozdział pracy poświęcony został próbie zdefiniowania pojęcia apokalipsy. Przedstawiona została budowa a także język tego dzieła. Ważnym elementem, jaki się pojawia jest symbolika Apokalipsy św. Jana. Następnie ukazana jest Apokalipsa w ujęciu teologicznym, mówiącym wiernym jak w sposób duchowy powinni interpretować to dzieło.Drugi rozdział ukazuje motyw apokalipsy w literaturze współczesnej. Omawiane są w nim dzieła autorów, którzy na miarę swoich czasów próbowali ukazać problem zagłady i zniszczenia ludzkości. Autorem, który pisał o niepokoju i przeczuciu wojny był Józef Czechowicz, uznawany za jednego z katastrofistów okresu dwudziestolecia międzywojennego. Poetami, którzy pisali w dobie wojny byli Tadeusz Gajcy i Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. Poezja ich zaliczona została do nurtu Apokalipsy spełnionej. Natomiast swoją prywatną apokalipsę opisał Tadeusz Konwicki w utworze Mała apokalipsa. Trzeci rozdział to analiza podręczników szkolnych pod kątem obecności w nich tekstów zawierających motywy apokaliptyczne. Zaprezentowane zostaną dwie serie podręczników do klas licealnych i technikum: Zrozumieć tekst, zrozumieć człowieka oraz Przeszłość to dziś. Ostatni rozdział pracy to konspekty lekcji języka polskiego zawierające propozycje szkolnych interpretacji utworów, przestawiających motywy apokaliptyczne, wizje Sądu Ostatecznego i zagłady ludzkości.

The first chapter of the work was devoted to the attempt to define the notion of the apocalypse. The structure and language of the work were also presented.The symbolism of the Aopcalypse of St. John is an important part of what appears in work. Then the Apocalypse is shown in theological terms speaking to the faithful how they should interpret the work in a spiritual way.Second chapter shows Apocalypse theme in contemporary literature. There are the works of authors who were trying to show the problem of death and destruction of humanity, according to its vision of its time.The author who wrote about anxiety and premonition of the war was Józef Czechowicz, considered one of the doomsayers of interwar decades. Poets, who wrote in the era of the war were Tadeusz Gajcy i Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. Their poetry has been included as the mainstream of so-called Apocalypse fulfilled.However, in works of Tadeusz Konwicki like "Mała apokalipsa",the reader can read about his private description of apocalyspe.The third chapter shows an analysis of school texbooks in terms of presence of apocaliptic motifs in their texts. There will be presented two series of textbooks for classes of high school and technical school : Zrozumieć tekst zrozumieć człowieka and Przeszłość to dziś.The last chapter includes Polish language lesson plans, proposals of school interpretations of works depicting motifs of apocaliptic visions of the Judgment Day and the destruction of a mankind.
