Głównym celem pracy jest przedstawienie istoty FinTech jako przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii oraz identyfikacja wpływu FinTech na usługi finansowe. Główną metodą badawczą była analiza danych wtórnych, takich jak książki specjalistyczne, artykuły naukowe i ekspertyzy różnych naukowców, raporty organizacji gospodarczych, raporty z badań globalnych, stowarzyszeń zawodowych, raporty roczne firm, prognozy oraz strony internetowe. Praca analizuje cyfrowe transformacje usług finansowych poprzez FinTech, wpływ FinTech na sektor bankowy, a także kroki, jakie firmy i kraje powinny podjąć w obliczu tej zmiany. Zidentyfikowano zagrożenia i szanse, jakie stwarza FinTech w usługach finansowych. W tym celu, zbadano zachowania FinTech, ich dynamikę i obszary inwestycji.

The main aim of this thesis is to present the essence of FinTech as high-technology businesses, and to identify the impact of FinTech on financial services. The major research method was the analysis of secondary data, such as specialist books, academic articles, and expert opinions from a range of scientists, economic organizations reports, global survey reports, professional associations, firm’s annual reports, future expectations reports, and company websites. The thesis analyzes digital transformations of financial services through FinTech, how FinTech change financial services, banking sector, as well as the steps that companies and countries should take in the face of this change. The threats and opportunities created by FinTech on financial services have been identified. For this, the nature and behavior of FinTech and their growth rate and investment areas are analyzed in-depth and concluded.
