Separation of competences in the field of defense and national security in Poland

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie organizacji i sposobu funkcjonowania obrony narodowej w Polsce. Zaprezentowane i opisane zostały podmioty, posiadające kompetencje w tym zakresie, a także zadania, jakie są im przydzielone. Omówione zostało również pojęcie bezpieczeństwa narodowego i czynności wykonywane w celu jego zapewnienia. W pracy ukazany został także cel działania obrony narodowej oraz przepisy prawa, w oparciu o które działalność ta jest wykonywana. Zawarto w niej też rozważania na temat funkcjonalności obecnego rozdziału kompetencji.

The aim of the thesis is to present the organization and the way of functioning of national defense in Poland. Entities which have competences in this area and the tasks assigned to them were presented and described. The concept of national security and the activities performed to provide it were also discussed. In the thesis a purpose of the national defense and the legal regulations on the basis of which this activity is carried out were also presented. Considerations about the functionality of the current division of competences were contained too.
