The model of care of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis.

Tytuł mojej pracy brzmi „Model opieki nad chorym z reumatoidalnymzapaleniem stawów”. Reumatoidalne zapalenie stawów to autoimmunologiczna,postępująca i niewyleczalna choroba tkanki łącznej. Objawia się ona występowaniem stanuzapalnego w błonie maziowej stawu oraz strukturach okołostawowych. Zmianychorobowe występują nie tylko w stawie lecz w wielu innych strukturach organizmu. WPolsce schorzenie to dotyczy 0,8- 2,0 % ludności a co roku odnotowuje się 8- 16 tys.nowych zachorowań. Choroba jest nieuleczalna, lecz odpowiednio dobranym leczeniemmoŜne opóźnić lub złagodzić wystąpienie objawów chorobowych Celem mojej pracy byłostworzenie modelu opieki nad chorym z reumatoidalnym zapaleniem stawów.W pierwszej części pracy przedstawiłam zagadnienia kliniczne choroby, sposobyrehabilitacji oraz aspekt psychologiczny chorego. W dalszym fragmencie ukazałam jakwaŜną rolę odgrywa pielęgniarka jako członek zespołu terapeutycznego w rehabilitacjiedukacji oraz w całościowej opiece nad chorym. W drugiej części pracy starałam sięukazać najistotniejsze problemy pielęgnacyjne mogące pojawić się u chorych a takŜe cel iplan opieki. Pod kaŜdym problemem pielęgnacyjnym zaprezentowałam jaki powinien byćpozytywny efekt prowadzonych działań pielęgniarskich.

I have titled my thesis "The model of care of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis ".Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmunologic, progressive and incurable disease ofconnective tissue. It is manifested by inflammation of the membrana synovialis(arthrosynovitis), as well as of the periarticular structures. The range of the lesions includesnot only joints but also other areas of the organism. Up to 2 percent of the total populationof Poland is said to be suffering from rheumatoid arthitis, with 8-16 thousand new casesreported each year. Despite the incurability, the disease and its symptomes can be eitherdelayed or alleviated. The aim of this thesis is to provide a model of care of a patientafflicted with rheumatoid arthisis. In the first part I have presented the clinical issues of thedisease, ways of rehabilitation and the psychological aspect of the patient. It alsounderscores the role of the nurse as a member of a therapeutic team in terms ofrehabilitation, education and the overall care for the patient. The next part is devoted to thepredominant nursing problems that may occur in the patients, as well as to the care planand its purpose. Each of the presented problems has been juxtaposed with expectedpositive effects of the implemented nursing interventions.
