Satysfakcja z pracy a samoocena stanu zdrowia w populacji 50+ (analiza przeprowadzona na podstawie badania SHARE Polska)
Job satisfaction and self-assessment of health in the population 50 + (analysis on the research SHARE Poland)
satysfakcja z pracy, satysfakcja z zarobków, samoocena stanu zdrowi
job satisfaction, satisfaction with earnings, self-assessment of health
Korzystano z danych, zebranych w trakcie pierwszej fali badania SHARE (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe), edycji Polskiej. Obserwowane zależności pomiędzy satysfakcją zarówno z pracy jak i zarobków a samooceną stanu zdrowia pozwoliły wysnuć wniosek, iż należy zwiększać zatrudnienie osób starszych.
Employment is a very important part of lifestyle. Work is a very a meaningful thing in human’s life and in many ways it affects health and self-assessment of health status. However, employment plays an important role, subjective measures such as job satisfaction and high earnings achieved in relation to involvement in the work are meaningful to. In this paper, the aim was to demonstrate the relationship between factors related to employment, such as the subjective feeling of receiving an appropriate wages to work, job satisfaction and self perceived health of respondents. There were used data collected during the first wave of research SHARE (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe), Polish edition. Data were collected in 2007 from 2383 respondents in the survey using a special, extensive questionnaire containing questions about the different aspects of life of the respondents.Analyzes allowed the observed both: dependence between job satisfaction and satisfaction with earnings in relation to involvement in the work. Age proved to be of little importance for the perceived satisfaction and revenue in no way affected the self-assessment of health status. The observed correlation between satisfaction with both: work and wages and self perceived health helped draw a conclusion that there is a need to increase employment of people over 50 and older people. The conclusions of other correlations also showed that employers should take care of the workers regardless of their age and continuously strive to improve working conditions because requirements of persons over 50 years of age, do not differ from the requirements of younger people. Also analysis of the relationship between income and health self-assessment showed that money does not affect the way people assess their health, so health is a thing that you cannot buy.
