„One-procenters". Gang subculture in the world of American motorcycle clubs.

Przedmiotem pracy jest subkultura amerykańskich klubów motocyklowych, które ewoluowały w organizacje przestępcze działające na całym świecie. Ich charakterystyka oraz funkcjonowanie zostało przedstawione w poszczególnych rozdziałach. W prezentowanej dysertacji podjęto próbę zarysowania sylwetki Jednoprocentowca, czyli członka motocyklowego gangu, który nie kieruje się zasadami Amerykańskiego Stowarzyszenia Motocyklowego. W konsekwencji nie może zostać zaakceptowany przez tę organizację jako praworządny motocyklista. Bazując na ograniczonej literaturze przedmiotu, uzupełnionej o raporty agencji rządowych oraz wywiady z przedstawicielami opisywanych środowisk, starano się także pokazać wpływ klubów motocyklowych na kulturę popularną oraz rolę kobiet w świecie gangu.

The subject of the work is the subculture of American motorcycle clubs, which have evolved into criminal organizations operating around the world. Their characteristics and functioning are presented in each chapter. In the presented dissertation, an attempt was made to outline the figure of a One-percenter, a member of a motorcycle gang that does not follow the rules of the American Motorcycle Association. Consequently, he cannot be accepted by this organization as a law-abiding motorcycle rider. Based on limited literature on the subject, supplemented by reports of government agencies and interviews with representatives of the described circles, it was also attempted to show the influence of motorcycle clubs on popular culture and the role of women in the gang world.
