Celem pracy jest analiza polskiego systemu bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego i roli, jaką odgrywa w nim straż pożarna. Czy polski system bezpieczeństwa jest wydolny bez straży pożarnej? Jaką rolę odgrywają w nim jednostki ochrony przeciwpożarowej? Jak ważne dla systemu bezpieczeństwa wewnętrznego jest funkcjonowanie jednostek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych? Jakie zadania stoją przed strażą pożarną? Czym jest Krajowy System Ratowniczo-Gaśniczy? Aby odpowiedzieć na te pytania konieczne jest przeanalizowanie aktów prawnych, które określają funkcjonowanie jednostek ochrony przeciwpożarowej. Praca zwraca również uwagę na ważną kwestię jaką jest Krajowy System Ratowniczo-Gaśniczy. Ostania część pracy została poświęcona analizie katastrofy kolejowej pod Szczekocinami
The aim of my study is to analyze the Polish system of internal security and the role it plays in the fire department. Is the Polish security system efficient without the fire department? What is the role of the fire protection units? How important for the internal security system is functioning units of the Volunteer Fire Brigades? What are the tasks in front of the fire department? What is the National System Rescue and Firefighting? To answer these questions it is necessary to analyze the legal acts that define the operation of fire protection units. This thesis also pays attention to the important question of which is the National System Rescue and Firefighting. The last part of the work was devoted to the analysis of the train crash in Szczekociny
