Changes in an offer of an urban transport network in the south-eastern part of Słupsk

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie organizacji transportu miejskiego w Słupsku z uwzględnieniem zmian w tamtejszej sieci autobusowej w latach 2011-2021, co związane jest z diagnostyczno-deskryptywnym charakterem opracowania, będącym studium przypadku sytuacji komunikacji miejskiej w polskim ośrodku średniej wielkości. Obszar badań został ograniczony do południowo-wschodniej części miasta, którą tworzą trzy jednostki – Osiedle Akademickie, Osiedle Westerplatte oraz Lasek Południowy – wydzielone przez autora opracowania na podstawie kryteriów funkcjonalno-przestrzennych. W ramach części postulatywnej, autor zaproponował własne rozwiązania, które mogłyby zostać wprowadzone w ramach korekt w funkcjonowaniu sieci transportu autobusowego w obszarze badań. Całość rozważań została wykonana na podstawie analizy rozkładów jazdy oraz narzędzi analizy przestrzennej, jak również z odniesieniem do realiów organizacji transportu zbiorowego w Słupsku i sugerowanych w literaturze przedmiotu rozwiązań.

The article embraces the issue of the organisation of urban transport in Słupsk in connection with the changes in the local bus network in years 2011-2021, which is related to the diagnostic and descriptive nature of this paper, which is a case study of the situation of public transport in a Polish medium-sized city. The research area was limited to the south-eastern part of the city, which includes three spatial units – the ‘Akademickie’ settlement, the ‘Westerplatte’ settlement and the Southern Wood – separated by the author of this paper on the basis of functional and spatial criteria. As a part of the postulative part, the author also presented his own solutions that could be introduced as a part of corrections regarding the local bus network in the research area. The research has been done basing on the scrutiny of the bus timetables and using the spatial analysis tools, with the reference to the reality of the organization of public transport in Słupsk and the solutions suggested in the literature.
