Philosophical Axioms in the Pedagogy of Culture of Sergius Hessen's

Głównym celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie sylwetki, twórczości i poglądów Sergiusza Hessena. Jest on uznawany za rosyjskiego, a zarazem polskiego filozofa-neokantystę, pedagoga. Hessen podjął się stworzenia koncepcji pedagogicznej, która jest nauczana i wykorzystywana do dziś w pedagogice. Praca przedstawia założenia koncepcji pedagogiki kultury Sergiusza Hessena w powiązaniu z filozofią, na którą uczony powoływał się tworząc koncepcję wychowania dzieci i młodych ludzi. We wstępie pracy została krótko opisana historia powstania działu pedagogiki pod nazwą pedagogika kultury oraz jej główne założenia. Pierwszy rozdział przedstawia krótką biografię pedagoga z ukazaniem różnych osób i czynników wpływających na kształtowanie się poglądów pedagoga. Drugi rozdział ukazuje wpływy metodologii nauczania oraz filozofii niemieckiej, rosyjskiej, a nawet starożytnej na rozwój koncepcji pedagogiki kultury Hessena. Trzeci rozdział natomiast przedstawia najważniejsze czynniki wychowania, które Hessen uznał za najcenniejsze w swej koncepcji. Czynniki te odróżniają się znacznie od elementów w założeniach innych pedagogów. W zakończeniu pracy w oparciu o przeprowadzone przez autorkę badania zostało ukazane miejsce Hessena w rosyjskich pracach naukowych oraz w szkolnictwie wyższym z dziedziny pedagogiki.

The main aim of this work is to present the silhouette, work and views of Sergius Hessen. He is recognized as a Russian and Polish philosopher – neo-Kantian and pedagogue. Hessen undertook to create a pedagogical concept that is taught and used in today’s pedagogy. This work presents the assumptions of Sergius Hessen's pedagogical concept of pedagogy of culture in connection with the philosophy he referred to in the concept of raising children and young people. The introduction of this work is devoted to briefly description of the development history of pedagogical section known as pedagogical culture and its main assumptions. The first chapter is presenting the short biography of the pedagogue showing the various people and factors influencing the development of the pedagogue's views. The second chapter shows the influence of teaching methodology and German, Russian and even ancient philosophy on the development of Hessen's pedagogy of cultural pedagogy. The third chapter presents the most important educational factors that Hessen considered as most valuable in his conception. These factors differ significantly from those being used by other pedagogues. Based on the research conducted by the author, the work ends with presentation of Hessen’s place in Russian scientific works and in higher education in the field of pedagogy.
