The impact of religious differences between Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks on the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995

Głównym tematem mojej pracy jest udowodnienie, że różnice religijne Serbów, Chorwatów i Bośniaków wpłynęły na wybuch wojny w Bośni i Hercegowinie w latach 1992-1995. Praca jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze: jaki wpływ na wojnę w Bośni i Hercegowinie w latach 1992-1995 miała religia. Można domniemywać, że, z racji dużej odrębności etnicznej i mentalności ludzi, nie w każdej sytuacji standardy etyczne w życiu codziennym były reflektowane.Ze względu na złożoność tematu oraz liczbę poruszanych kwestii praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym, poruszam zagadnienia dotyczące konfliktu w Bośni i Hercegowinie w latach 1992-1995. W rozdziale tym opisuję przyczyny oraz początek wojny z uwzględnieniem rozpadu Socjalistycznej Federacyjnej Republiki Jugosławii. Będzie w nim także mowa o przebiegu walk i układnie pokojowym oraz o następujących po nim misjach pokojowych ONZ i interwencji NATO. W rozdziale drugim została zwrócona uwaga na obecność kwestii religii w Socjalistycznej Federacyjnej Republice Jugosłowiańskiej. Rozdział drugi to również, uwagi teoretyczne, geneza, definicje oraz opis specyfiki etnicznej Chorwatów, Serbów, Bośniaków i Albańczyków. Trzeci i ostatni rozdział zawiera wpływ religii na współczesną strukturę Bośni i Hercegowiny. Ostatni rozdział obejmuje najważniejsze informację tyczące dekompozycji Bośni i Hercegowiny, islamskiego fundamentalizmu w Bośni po 1991 roku oraz polityczne zaangażowanie Alii Izetbegovicia w kształtowaniu muzułmańskiej wspólnoty narodowej Bośni i Hercegowiny.Odpowiedź na pytania postawione w mojej pracy dokona się na podstawie literatury z zakresu historii, etyki, religii, socjologii i politologii.

The main theme of my paper is to prove that religious differences between Serbs, Croats and Bosnians contributed to the outbreak of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995. These paper is an attempt to answer the research question: what impact has religion on the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995. It can be assumed that, due to the large ethnic distinctiveness and mentality of the people, not in every situation ethical standards in daily life were restraint.Due to the complexity of the subject and the number of issues raised work consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, I move issues relating to the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992-1995. In this chapter I describe the causes and the beginning of the war, including the disintegration of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It also will be provided on the course of the fighting and politely peace and the subsequent UN peacekeeping missions and NATO intervention. In the second chapter has been paid attention to the presence of the issue of religion in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslav. Chapter two is also theoretical genesis, definition and description of the specifics of ethnic Croats, Serbs, Bosniaks and Albanians. The third and final chapter includes the impact of religion in the contemporary structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The final chapter covers the most important information concern ing the decomposition of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Islamic fundamentalism in Bosnia after 1991, and the political commitment of Alii Izetbegović in shaping national Muslim community of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The answer to the questions posed in my work will be based on the literature of the history, ethics, religion, sociology, and political science.
