Preparatory proceedings before the International Criminal Court.

Praca stanowi próbę przedstawienia wybranego przeze mnie elementu procedury karnej międzynarodowej, mianowicie ujęcie problematyki postępowania przygotowawczego przed Międzynarodowym Trybunałem Karnym, w tym w szczególności odnalezienia odpowiedzi na pytania jakie funkcje pełni postępowanie przygotowawcze toczące się przed Międzynarodowym Trybunałem Karnym, jaka jest procedura inicjowania postępowania przygotowawczego, jaką rolę w postępowaniu odgrywają Prokurator oraz Izba Przygotowawcza, kto i w jakiej sytuacji może zatwierdzić zarzuty postawione oskarżonemu oraz jaką formę może przyjąć zakończenie toku postępowania przygotowawczego.

The thesis is an attempt of presenting an element of international criminal procedure chosen by me, namely the issue of pre-trial proceeding before the International Criminal Court in particular to find answers to questions about the functions of preparatory proceeding being in progress before the International Criminal Court, what is the procedure to initiate preparatory proceeding, what is the role of the Prosecutor and Pre-trial Chamber in the proceeding, who and in what situation may approve the charges put against the accused and what form of the ending of the course of preparatory proceedings may take.
