Residents' sense of security and cooperation between the Police and local government. The case of Nowy Targ.

Praca magisterska zatytułowana „Poczucie bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców a współpraca Policji z samorządem terytorialnym. Przypadek Nowego Targu.” jest analizą współpracy na poziomie lokalnym Policji z jednostkami samorządu terytorialnego Gminy Miasto Nowy Targ w zakresie bezpieczeństwa jego obywateli. Głównym powodem powstania niniejszej pracy były przemyślenia autorki, po wnikliwej analizie literatury przedmiotu, odnoszące się do rezultatów wprowadzanych zmian przepisów regulujących działanie Policji, wdrażanych systemowych rozwiązań dotyczących współpracy jednostek Policji ze społeczeństwem i pogłębiania dialogu społecznego na temat zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa na linii: Policja – samorządy terytorialne- społeczność lokalna. W części podsumowującej pracę zawarto najważniejsze ustalenia, wynikające z badań empirycznych i studiów literatury oraz przedstawiono kierunki i rekomendacje dla wykorzystania uzyskanych badań do konstruowania m.in przyszłych strategii zapobiegania przestępczości na terenie miasta.

The master's thesis entitled "Residents' sense of security and cooperation between the Police and local government. The case of Nowy Targ" is an analysis of cooperation at the local level of the Police with local government units of the Municipality of Nowy Targ in the field of safety of its citizens. The main reason for creating this work were the author's thoughts, after a thorough analysis of the literature on the subject, relating to the results of introduced changes to the provisions regulating the operation of the Police, implemented systemic solutions regarding the cooperation of Police units with the public and deepening social dialogue on ensuring safety between the Police and local governments. - local society. The summary of the work contains the most important findings resulting from empirical research and literature studies, and presents directions and recommendations for using the obtained research to construct, among others, future crime prevention strategies in the city.
