Abstract in English
The article deals with aspects of loneliness in the diaries of Antonina Machczyńska in the context of the deaths of selected persons. The quoted memoirs and accounts of the diarist are juxtaposed with the results of research on loneliness of contemporary authors. The conclusions drawn provide a broader view of the teacher's private dilemmas, allow a better understanding of women's experience of loneliness, and point to the mechanism of the human organism exposed to situations conducive to the development of a sense of loneliness.
