Floral motifs in contemporary Polish theater

Celem pracy magisterskiej "Motywy floralne we współczesnym teatrze polskim" była analiza spektakli, w których pojawia się roślinność pod postacią scenografii, rekwizytów lub w warstwie tekstowej - np. jako temat przewodni realizacji. Spektakle, w których pojawia się flora zostały podzielone na trzy kategorie, które stanowią osobne rozdziały. Przyjęte kategorie to: ekologia, kultura, żywa natura. Analizy spektakli zostały wsparte cytatami z publikacji popularnonaukowych i naukowych dotyczących roślin (i dziedzin z nimi związanych), recenzji oraz wypowiedziami scenicznych bohaterów. Praca ukazuje na ilu poziomach można przyglądać się motywom floralnym w spektaklach.

The aim of the master's thesis "Floral motifs in contemporary Polish theater" was to analyze performances in which plants appears in the form of scenery, props or in the text layer - for example as the leading theme of the production. Performances in which flora appears have been divided into three categories, which constitute separate chapters. The adopted categories are: ecology, culture, and living nature. The analyzes of the performances were supported by quotes from popular science and scientific publications on plants (and related fields), reviews and statements from the stage characters. The work shows how many levels one can observe floral motifs in the performances.
