Quality Managament System based on General Electric Power Contols S.A company

The subject of the master’s thesis is the quality management system in General Electric Power Controls and it’s assessment before and after the system’s implementation.The theoretical part includes the issues related to the perception of quality, development conception of management and management conception of Total Quality Management. Additionally, the series of ISO standards and ISO 9001:2000 standard were described. The issues of the aims’ planning, the workstands’ arranging, the workers’ motivating and the supervision of the quality management process in the enterprise were also presented.The theoretical part characterizes the analysed enterprise, it’s organizational structure, vision, destination and material resources. The enterprise’s resources, the range of goods and the quality management system in General Electric were described and characterized. The empirical researches conducted by the chi-kwadrat test were based on the analysis of tests results before and after the system’s implementation. The connection between the quality control system and the evaluation of goods quality was presented by the independence test of two nominal variables.

Tematem pracy magisterskiej jest system zarządzania jakością w General Electric Power Controls S.A i jego ocena przed oraz po wdrożeniu systemu.Część teoretyczna zawiera zagadnienia związane z postrzeganiem jakości, rozwojem koncepcji zarządzania oraz kompleksowego zarządzania jakością TQM. Ponadto opisano rodzinę norm serii ISO i normę ISO 9001:2000. Poruszone zostały także zagadnienia dotyczące planowania celów , organizowania stanowisk pracy, motywowania pracowników oraz kontrolowania procesu zarządzania jakością w przedsiębiorstwie.Część teoretyczna zawiera charakterystykę badanej organizacji, jej strukturę organizacyjną, wizję i misję oraz zasoby przedsiębiorstwa. Opisane zostały zasoby firmy, scharakteryzowano oferowany asortyment oraz system zarządzania jakością, wdrożony w fabryce General Electric.Badania empiryczne za pomocą testu chi-kwadrat, oparte zostały na analizie wyników przed i po wdrożeniu systemu zarządzania jakością. Za pomocą testu niezależności dwóch zmiennych nominalnych, przedstawiono związek między systemem zarządzania jakością a oceną jakości wyrobów .
