Imagining the individual theories of teachers in their narratives

Głównym celem pracy jest ukazanie jakie rodzaje indywidualnych teorii nauczycieli obrazowane są w ich narracji oraz w jaki sposób uobecniają się one w ich wypowiedziach na temat procesu kształcenia. Pierwszy rozdział stanowi wstęp teoretyczny, zawiera on obszerną charakterystykę indywidualnych teorii nauczycieli. W części tej ukazana jest różnorodna terminologia, odmienne sposoby definiowania tego pojęcia oraz teorie, z których zaczerpnięta jest kategoria wiedzy osobistej. Rozdział pierwszy zawiera także opis czynników odpowiedzialnych za powstawanie i rozwój indywidualnych teorii nauczycieli, ich funkcji oraz struktury. Pierwsza część pracy przedstawia również podział teorii ze względu na rodzaj przyjętego kryterium. Z punktu widzenia badań własnych konieczne było dokonanie szczegółowego opisu rodzajów indywidualnych teorii ze względu na ich treść. Kolejny rozdział odnosi się do metodologicznych podstaw badań własnych. Zostały w nim scharakteryzowane: przedmiot i cel badań, problemy badawcze, zmienne oraz wskaźniki, metody, techniki i narzędzia badawcze. Rozdział ten zawiera również opis sposobu doboru oraz charakterystykę próby badawczej, a także przedstawia organizacje i przebieg badania. Szczegółowe wyniki badań własnych ukazane są w rozdziale trzecim. W tej części pracy została zaprezentowana dogłębna analiza uzyskanych danych dotyczących zjawiska obrazowania indywidualnych teorii nauczycieli w ich narracji. W zakończeniu przedstawione są wnioski płynące z ustaleń poznawczych jak i również podsumowanie pracy.

The main purpose of the following study is to demonstrate what kinds of individual theories of teachers are represented in their narratives, and also how they are present in teachers’ statements regarding the process of education. The first chapter constitutes the theoretical introduction including the extensive characteristics of the individual theories of the teachers. This section presents various terminology, different ways of defining this concept, and theories from which the category of personal knowledge is derived. The first chapter also includes the description of the factors which are responsible for the formation and development of the teachers’ individual theories, their functions, and structures. The first part of the study also presents the division of the theory with regard to the type of the adopted criteria. From the own research point of view, it was essential to present a detailed description of the types of the individual theories for the sake of their contents. The next chapter refers to the methodological basis of the own research. The object and the purpose of the study, the research problems, the variables and indexes, the methods, the techniques, and the research tools are characterized in this chapter. Moreover, this chapter also describes the selection method and the characteristics of the research sample, as well as presenting the structure and process of the research. This section presents an in-depth analysis of the data obtained on the phenomenon of imaging teachers’ individual theories in their narratives. The conclusion section presents results from the cognitive findings as well as summary of the study.
