The new political system the new language. The Turkish language reform in the beginning of the Republic of Turkey.

Niniejsza praca poświęcona jest reformie języka tureckiego w początkowym okresie Republiki Tureckiej. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie przebiegu reformy języka tureckiego z uwzględnieniem tła politycznego i okoliczności, jakie towarzyszyły reformie. Poruszone zostały kwestie ideologiczne, psychologiczne oraz społeczno – polityczne przeprowadzonej reformy. Pracę rozpoczyna krótki opis historii powstania Republiki. Następnie omówione zostały przyczyny przeprowadzenia reformy. Dalsza część pracy traktuje o zmianie alfabetu, powstaniu TDK, reformie słownictwa i gramatyki języka tureckiego, oraz sytuacji po śmierci pierwszego prezydenta Republiki. W ostatniej części przedstawiona została sytuacja języka po reformie, a dla zobrazowania zmian praca zawiera porównanie tekstu w języku osmańsko – tureckim z jego przekładem na współczesny język turecki.

The following thesis is devoted to Turkish language reform in the beginning of the Republic of Turkey. The purpose of thesis is to present the Turkish language reform taking into account the political background and the circumstances of the reform. There were raised the ideological, psychological and socio – political problems of the reform. The work begins with a short description of the history of the Republic. Then discusses the reasons for reform. The next part of the text treats about changing the alphabet, about the reform of the turkish vocabulary and grammar, and about the situation after the death of the first president of the Republic. The final part presents the language situation after the reform. Moreover to reflect the changes the thesis contains a comparison of the text in the Ottoman – Turkish with translation in the modern Turkish language.
