Jej celem jest udowodnienie, poprzez analizę w kluczu filmoznawczym i kulturoznawczym, obecności kodów teatralnych w całej filmografii Jacques’a Rivette’a. Pierwszy rozdział skupia się na tym, co wpłynęło na pracę reżyserską Francuza. Od lat 50. był krytykiem, a później redaktorem naczelnym „Cahiers du cinéma”. Przybliżam teksty, które wtedy pisał, prądy myślowe, którymi się interesował, nurty w teatrze, które dostrzegał.W drugim rozdziale skupiam się na filmach Jacques’a Rivette’a, w których diegezie nie objawia się teatr. Uporządkowuję narrację o jego kinematografii w kluczu teatralnym. Szukam cech, które świadczą o tym, że można przypisać filmowi inspiracje teatralne.Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest filmom, które w swojej narracji mają teatr. The theme of this thesis is the motive of theater in Jacques Rivette's directing filmography. Its aim is to prove, through a film and cultural studies analysis, the presence of theater codes in the entire filmography of Jacques Rivette. The first chapter focuses on everything what influenced the directing work of the Frenchman. From the 1950s he was a critic, and then editor-in-chief of "Cahiers du cinéma". I present the texts he wrote then, the philosophy which he was interested in, the trends in theater that he noticed.In the second chapter I focus on Jacques Rivette's films, in which theater is not revealed in the diegesis. I organize the narrative about his cinematography in a theatrical key. I am looking for features that prove that the film can be attributed to theatrical inspirations.The third chapter is devoted to films that have theater in their narrative. I organize films and analyze them in terms of creative development in the context of on-screen theater.In conclusion, I emphasize important information for the perception of Jacques Rivette as a filmmaker.
