Niniejsza praca analizuje proces coming outu i kształtowania się tożsamości wśród homoseksualnych cispłciowych mężczyzn. Dostrzegając różnorodność wewnątrz społeczności LGBTQIA+, uwaga koncentruje się na określonej grupie, aby uniknąć nadmiernych uogólnień i przeprowadzić jej szczegółową analizę. W badaniu analizowano, w jaki sposób coming out działa jako proces (re)konstruowania tożsamości i nadawania nowego społecznego statusu. Kluczowe aspekty badań obejmują motywacje i obawy związane z coming outem, wpływ heteronormatywności, płci, hegemonicznej męskości oraz wpływ instytucji i struktur społecznych, takich jak cisheteropatriarchat, Kościół rzymskokatolicki, nacjonalizm, medycyna, polityka i związane z nimi dyskursy.Opierając się na antropologicznej perspektywie, badania te zgłębiają sposób, w jaki coming out (re)definiuje tożsamość, denaturalizując opresyjne kategorie, takie jak cisheteronormatywność. Krytycznie analizując pojęcie tożsamości gejowskiej, podkreślając jego różnorodność, procesualny charakter i niestabilność. Badania opierają się na osobistych doświadczeniach autora i jego partnerów badawczych, podkreślając transformacyjny potencjał zaangażowanych badań antropologicznych na rzecz wzmocnienia marginalizowanych głosów i zwrócenia uwagi na problemy uciśnionych.Badanie porusza złożoność coming outu w heteroseksistowskiej kulturze, analizując społeczne piętno i opresję towarzyszące temu procesowi. Analizuje sposób w jaki jednostki negocjują swoją tożsamość i relacje przed oraz po coming oucie oraz jak ich percepcja siebie zmienia się wraz z upływem czasu. This thesis explores the coming out process and identity formation among homosexual cisgender men. Recognizing the diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community, the focus is narrowed to this specific group to avoid overgeneralisations and provide a detailed analysis. The study examines how coming out acts as a process of, (re)constructing one's identity and conferring a new social status. Key aspects of interest include the motivations and fears related to coming out, the influence of heteronormativity, gender, hegemonic masculinity, and the impact of societal institutions and structures such as the cisheteropatriarchy, Roman Catholic Church, nationalism, medicine, politics and related discourses.Drawing from anthropological perspective, the research delves into how coming out (re)defines identity, denaturalising oppressive categories like cisheteronormativity. It critically examines the notion of gay identity, emphasizing its diversity, processual nature, and instability. The research is grounded in the personal experiences of the author and his research partners, highlighting the transformative potential of engaged anthropological research to amplify marginalized voices and draw attention to the problems of the oppressed.The study addresses the complexities of coming out within a heterosexist culture, analysing the societal stigma and oppression surrounding the process. It investigates how individuals negotiate their identities and relationships before and after coming out, and how their self-perception evolves over time. The research also considers the performative aspects of identity and the strategies employed during the coming out process. Finally, it examines the broader socio-cultural and local contexts influencing coming out and the significant (in this context) role of masculinity in shaping these experiences.The thesis aims to provide an in-depth understanding of coming out as a dynamic and context-dependent process, contributing to broader discussions on identity, power, and normalisation imposed and within the gay community.
