Outsourcing and its importance in the management of health care as an example of the University Children's Hospital in Krakow-Prokocim

Celem pracy jest ukazanie istoty outsourcingu i przedstawienie go jako narzędzia zarządzania w instytucjach z sektora ochrony zdrowia, na przykładzie Uniwersyteckiego Szpitala Dziecięcego w Krakowie. Praca zawiera charakterystykę procesu zarządzania, omówienie części powszechnie znanych koncepcji zarządzania. Główne treści pracy dotyczą samego outsourcingu, jego genezy i istoty, a także rodzajów oraz mocnych i słabych stron. Dokonano charakterystyki badanej instytucji oraz przeanalizowano znaczenie outsourcingu w badanym szpitalu, na podstawie przeprowadzonej ankiety z dyrektorem szpitala.

The paper presents the essence of outsourcing and presenting it as a management tool, in the institutions of the health sector, for example, the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. The paper presents the characteristics of the management process, a discussion of the well-known concept of management. The main content of the work on the outsourcing of its origin and nature, as well as types, and strengths and weaknesses. Performance has been studied and analyzed the importance of institutions in the studied hospital outsourcing, based on the survey of the director of the hospital.
