In view of the strong economic growth and constantly increasing requirements of the potential users, new nanomaterials are intensively prospect to increase productivity and functionality, with simultaneous reducing the cost and size of the various devices, structures and systems used in electronics, medicine, optics and the energy industry. One of such materials is nanoporous anodic titanium oxide (ATO), obtained by anodizing. It raises enormous interest among researchers around the world, not only because of its highly structured self-organization structure but also because of its functional chemical and physical properties that can be successfully used in photocatalysis, photovoltaics, through various types of sensors, to templates (matrices) for other nanomaterials. Considering the fact that the process of fabrication of ordered nanostructures by electrochemical anodization, especially on a 3D titanium substrate, requires selection of a number of relevant parameters, including the value of applied potential as well as the anode time, the optimization of the method is a key element. Taking into account all these considerations, the purpose of this research is to investigate and optimize the process conditions for obtaining nanoporous titanium (IV) oxide with an orderly structure of nanopores by anodizing a titanium mesh in a solution of ethanol-1,2-diol containing fluoride ions. In addition, the as-prepared photoelectrodes will be subjected to photoelectrochemical analysis based on the photocurrent measurement generated on the surface of the porous electrode material as a function of wavelength.pl
