Praca licencjacka pod tytułem ,,Das Bild der Frau im Roman Agnes von Lilien von Caroline von Wolzogen" zajmuje się kobiecością i tym, jak była ona przedstawiana w literaturze na początku XIX wieku. We wstępie pracy licencjackiej przedstawiam, jak podzielona jest moja praca i jakie są jej cele. Postawione zostają pytania o metodę przedstawienia obrazu kobiet oraz jakie cechy były im przypisywane. Próbuję pokazać przełom, który jest widoczny w literaturze, jeśli chodzi o przedstawienie postaci kobiecej ‒ odbieganie od norm społecznych oraz potrzeba bycia niezależną. Przedstawione są one na przykładzie wychowania, podejścia do pracy oraz związków romantycznych. Kontekst pracy opiera się na sytuacji kobiet i ich roli w społeczeństwie na przełomie XVIII i XIX wieku. Oprócz tego do wprowadzenia czytelnika w czas epoki romantyzmu służą także metody przedstawiania kobiet w tym czasie w literaturze. Metody te występują w mojej pracy również jako element porównania z analizowaną powieścią. W części analitycznej skupiam się na ukazaniu jak została przedstawiona główna bohaterka w wielu obszarach jej życia oraz jakimi cechami się odznaczała. Rezultatem mojej pracy jest zakotwiczenie obrazu kobiety na podstawie powieści ,,Agnes von Lilien" w literaturze romantyzmu, ukazanie odpowiednich cech, a także udowodnienie, że czas publikacji tej książki, był momentem przełomu dla kobiet.

My bachelor's thesis, titled 'The Image of Woman in the Novel Agnes of Lilien by Caroline von Wolzogen', explores the portrayal of femininity in literature at the beginning of the 19th century. In the introduction, I explain how the thesis is structured and what its objectives are. The questions concern the portrayal of women and the characteristics attributed to them. I attempt to demonstrate the breakthrough visible in literature with regard to the representation of women, which deviates from social norms and emphasises the need for independence. This is demonstrated through examples of upbringing, approach to work, and romantic relationships. The context of the work is based on the situation of women and their role in society at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Additionally, the methods used to depict women in literature during this period introduce readers to the Romantic era. These methods also feature in my work, where they are used for comparison with the analysed novel. In the analytical section, I demonstrate how the protagonist is portrayed in various aspects of her life and the traits she possesses. The outcome of my research is to anchor the image of a woman in Romanticist literature based on the novel Agnes von Lilien, demonstrating the relevant characteristics and proving that the time of publication of this book marked a turning point for women.

In meiner Bachelorarbeit mit dem Titel „Das Bild der Frau im Roman ‚Agnes von Lilien‘ von Caroline von Wolzogen“ beschäftige ich mich mit der Darstellung von Weiblichkeit in der Literatur zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts. Im Vorwort stelle ich dar, wie die Arbeit gegliedert ist und welche Ziele sie verfolgt. Dabei werden Fragen zur Darstellung von Frauen und den ihnen zugeschriebenen Eigenschaften aufgeworfen. Ich versuche, den Wandel in der Literatur zu zeigen, der sichtbar wird, wenn es um die Darstellung von Frauen geht: das Abweichen von gesellschaftlichen Normen und der Wunsch nach Unabhängigkeit. Dies wird anhand der Erziehung, des Arbeitsansatzes und romantischer Beziehungen veranschaulicht. Der Kontext der Arbeit basiert auf der Situation von Frauen und ihrer Rolle in der Gesellschaft am Übergang vom 18. zum 19. Jahrhundert. Die Methoden der Darstellung von Frauen in der Literatur dieser Zeit dienen darüber hinaus dazu, die Lesenden in die Epoche der Romantik einzuführen. Diese Methoden sind auch in meiner Arbeit als Vergleichselement mit der analysierten Novelle enthalten. Im analytischen Teil konzentriere ich mich darauf, wie die Hauptfigur in vielen Lebensbereichen dargestellt wird und welche Eigenschaften sie aufweist. Das Ergebnis meiner Arbeit ist die Verankerung des Frauenbildes in der Romantik auf der Grundlage des Romans „Agnes von Lilien“, die Darstellung der entsprechenden Merkmale und der Beweis, dass die Veröffentlichung dieses Buches ein Wendepunkt für Frauen war.
