The concept of impure forces in selected works of representatives of Russian Romanticism

Przedstawianie sił nieczystych w epoce romantyzmu jest bardzo zróżnicowane, ponieważ zarówno przedstawia spersonifikowane zło jako straszne i budzące trwogę, ale także jako groteskowe i chimeryczne. Praca polega na badaniu ludowego obrazu sił nieczystych zaprezentowanego w twórczości Aleksandra Puszkina, Michaiła Lermontowa i Mikołaja Gogola. W pracy zwrócono uwagę na ambiwalentne znaczenie demonów w ujęciu filozoficznych koncepcji epoki romantyzmu, jak również na koncepcje religijne, które odegrały znaczącą rolę w ujęciu tematu sił nieczystych przez romantycznych twórców rosyjskich.

The work consists in the analysis of the folk image of impure forces presented in the works of Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov and Nikolai Gogol. The depiction of evil forces in the Romantic era is very diverse, as it both depicts personified evil as terrible and awe-inspiring, but also as grotesque and chimerical. The attention is paid to the ambivalent meaning of demons in the philosophical concepts of the Romantic era, as well as to religious concepts that played a significant role in the treatment of the subject of impure forces by Romantic Russian authors.
