'The National Bank of Poland as a creator of monetary policy’

The title of mymater's thesis is ‘The National Bank of Poland as a creator of monetary policy’. The National Bank of Poland as a central bank of the Republic of Poland is a state institution with legal personality, however it is not subject to entry into a register of state enterprises. My master's thesis consists of five chapters. The first one describes origins and evolution of banking and central banking in the world and in Poland. In the next chapter I have presented organs of the National Bank of Poland, which are: the President of the National Bank of Poland, the Monetary Policy Council, management board of the National Bank of Poland and their legislative competence In the third chapter I have described tasks of National Bank of Poland, which it has as an issue bank, as a bank of bank and as a state bank. The fourth chapter is about instruments of monetary policy. In the last chapter I have presented activity of the National Bank of Poland in favor of integration with monetary union and chances and threats for Polish economy resulting from introduction of the euro .

Tytuł mojej pracy magisterskiej brzmi: Narodowy Bank Polski jako kreator polityki pieniężnej. Narodowy Bank Polski - jako centralny bank Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej jest instytucją państwową, posiadającą osobowość prawną, nie podlegającą jednak wpisowi do rejestru przedsiębiorstw państwowych. Praca moja składa się z pięciu rozdziałów. Pierwszy opisuje początki i ewolucję bankowości i bankowości centralnej na świecie i w Polsce. W kolejnym rozdziale przedstawiłam organy Narodowego Banku Polskiego, którymi są : Prezes NBP, Rada Polityki Pieniężnej oraz Zarząd NBP i ich prawotwórcze kompetencje. Natomiast w trzecim rozdziale opisuję zadania NBP : jako banku emisyjnego, banku banków oraz banku państwa. Rozdział czwarty to instrumenty polityki pieniężnej. W ostatnim rozdziale przedstawiłam działalność NBP na rzecz integracji z unią monetarną oraz szanse i zagrożenia dla polskiej gospodarki wynikające z wprowadzenia euro.
