W pracy opisana została rola i znaczenie Kataru w regionie Zatoki Perskiej w kontekście katarskiego kryzysu dyplomatycznego. Praca traktuje o historii regionu, powstaniu państwa Katar, jego związków z sąsiednimi krajami, które rzutują na obecne stosunki polityczne. Przedstawiona została również kondycja geopolityczna regionu oraz opis przyczyn, przebieg i skutki katarskiego kryzysu dyplomatycznego z czerwca 2017 r. Wymienione zostały także skutki ekonomiczne, społeczne i polityczne, z jakimi przyszło się zmierzyć Katarowi oraz ocena roli i znaczenia Kataru na przestrzeni roku trwania kryzysu.

Bachelor thesis describes the role and significance of Qatar in the Persian Gulf region in the context of the Qatari diplomatic crisis. The thesis deals with the history of the region, the rise of the state of Qatar, its relations with neighbouring countries that have an impact on current political relations. The geopolitical condition of the region as well as a description of the causes, course and effects of the Qatari diplomatic crisis in June 2017 were also presented. The economic, social and political effects that were faced by Qatar and the assessment of the role and significance of Qatar during the year of the crisis were also mentioned.
