This thesis undertakes a detailed analysis of Zbigniew Jankowski's work, focusing on the complex relationship between poetry and interpretation. The author posits that Jankowski's poetry not only reflects personal experience, but also becomes a space in which the viewer can discover new meanings and questions about reality. In a hermeneutic context, the work explores the notion of the ‘oikos’ as a metaphorical home that, in the face of uncertainty and changeability, becomes a place of reflection and amazement, which creates a sense of eponymous settledness. The interpretive model adopted in the work is based on the concept of the hermeneutic circle, in which the interaction between the whole and a fragment of a literary work leads to a joint discovery of meaning by author and reader.
