Praca poświęcona jest sposobowi funkcjonowania figur Baby Jagi i czarownicy we współczesnej literaturze i kulturze, w odniesieniu do ich pierwotnych znaczeń. Na tekst składają się krótkie rozdziały poświęcone różnorodnym zjawiskom oraz przykładom literackim, które mają dowieść, że współczesne kreacje wiedźmy są reakcją na stereotypy na temat "innych" kobiet i stanowią próbę ich nobilitacji. Poszczególne fragmenty tekstu dotyczą takich zagadnień, jak kobieca starość, szaleństwo, niepełnosprawność umysłowa, kobieca inicjacja, dzikość i relacja ze światem przyrody.
The work is devoted to the figures of Baba Yaga and the witch in contemporary literature and culture, in relation to their original meanings. The text consists short chapters devoted to various phenomena and literary examples. These are proving that contemporary witch creations are a reaction to stereotypes about "other" women and constitute an attempt to ennoble them. Particular fragments of the text describe such issues as female old age, madness, mental disability, female initiation, wildness and the relationship with the natural world.
