Praca przedstawia konflikt w Sudanie pomiędzy arabsko-muzułmańską Północą a chrześcijańsko-animistycznym Południem. Zawiera charakterystykę głównych plemion zamieszkujących oba regiony oraz historię państwa od pojawienia się pierwszych mieszkańców aż po czasy obecne. Główny element stanowią opisy I i II wojny domowej oraz konfliktu w Darfurze - ich przyczyny, przebieg i skutki.
The paper presents the conflict in Sudan between the Arab-Muslim North and the Christian-Animist South. It contains characteristics of the main tribes in the two regions and the history of the state since the emergence of the first inhabitants to the present time. The main element is the description of the two civil wars and the conflict in Darfur - their causes, course and consequences.
