Scheherazade and Shahryar from the Book of One Thousand and One Nights as Inspiration for Egyptian Writers: Nağīb Maḥfūẓ, Tawfīq al-Ḥakīm and Ṭaha Ḥusayn

W pracy zaprezentowano to, jak Nağīb Maḥfūẓ, Tawfīq al-Ḥakīm oraz Ṭaha Ḥusayna zainspirowali się Księgą tysiąca i jednej nocy i uczynili z Szecherezady i Szachrijara bohaterów swoich dzieł. Praca składa się ze wstępu, sześciu rozdziałów i zakończenia. Pierwszy rozdział przybliża czytelnikowi informacje na temat Księgi tysiąca i jednej nocy. Drugi rozdział to notatki biograficzne wyżej wymienionych autorów. W trzecim rozdziale został ukazany Szachrijar w Księdze oraz w dziełach egipskich pisarzy. Kolejny rozdział zawiera wnioski na temat wizerunku bohatera. W piątym rozdziale, analogicznie do rozdziału poświęconemu Szachrijarowi, dokonano charakterystyki Szecherezady. Następny rozdział to wnioski wyciągnięte na podstawie analizy obrazu Szecherezady.

The work presents how Nağīb Maḥfūẓ, Tawfīq al-Ḥakīm and Ṭaha Ḥusayna were inspired by the Book of One Thousand and One Nights, and made Scheherazade and Shahryar the heroes of their works. The work consists of an introduction, six chapters and a closure. The first chapter introduces the reader to informations about the Book of One Thousand and One Nights. The second chapter are the biographical notes of the above-mentioned authors. In the third chapter Shahryar has been shown in the Book and in the works of Egyptian writers. The next chapter contains conclusions about the image of the hero. In the fifth chapter, in analogy to the chapter devoted to Shahryar, the characterisation of Scheherazade has been made. The next chapter is the conclusions drawn from the analysis of the Scheherazade's image.
