Praca „Społeczność wielokulturowa Liverpoolu. Powstanie, rozwój i stan obecny” przybliża obraz społeczności Liverpoolu z perspektyw jego zróżnicowania kulturowego. Pokazuję różnice pomiędzy poszczególnymi grupami społecznymi o odmiennych kulturowych cechach dystynktywnych oraz przedstawia proces kształtowania się tej sytuacji. W pierwszym rozdziale zapoznajemy się z historią miasta, znajdziemy w nim informacje o etymologii nazwy „Liverpool”, istotne fakty dotyczące początków miasta oraz informacje na temat kluczowych momentów w dziejach Liverpoolu. Z naciskiem na te, które miały największy wpływ na wielokulturowy charakter społeczeństwa. Drugi rozdział traktuje o kosmopolitycznym charakterze Liverpoolu, jego cechach szczególnych i różnicach w stosunku do powszechnego rozumienia terminu. Gdyż według niektórych kosmopolityzm Liverpoolu w znacznej mierze wyrasta z rasizmu i antagonizmów. Następną częścią pracy jest analizą poszczególnych grup etnicznych, zostały one sklasyfikowane ze względu na obszar pochodzenia. Pierwsza grupa dotyczy mniejszości pochodzenia europejskiego i stanowi trzeci rozdział, druga mniejszości pochodzenia pozaeuropejskiego została opisana w rozdziale czwartym. Grupę europejską stanowią mniejszości napływowe z Irlandii, Walii oraz Polski. Irlandczycy stanowią mniejszość, która na przestrzeni lat odcisnęła największe piętno na wizerunku, kulturze i życiu społecznym miasta. Walijczycy natomiast w XIX wieku byli drugą co do wielkości grupą etniczną i również wywarli wpływ na wiele aspektów z życia miasta. Ostatnia europejską grupą są Polacy, jako przykład imigrantów z nowych państw członkowskich Unii Europejskiej, którzy od 2004 roku masowo osiedlili się w Wielkiej Brytanii. Rozdział czwarty obejmuje mniejszości pozaeuropejskie i otwiera go analiza mniejszości murzyńskiej i problemu niewolnictwa. Liverpool w XVIII wieku był największym ośrodkiem przerzutowym w handlu niewolnikami z Afryki do Ameryki Północnej. Proceder ten wywarł niepodważalny wpływ na charakter społeczności miasta. Kolejna część tego rozdziału dotyczy mniejszości etnicznych pochodzących z byłych koloni brytyjskich. Przedstawione zostały dzieje ludności napływowej z basenu Morza Karaibskiego, która w pierwszej połowi XX stanowiła ogromną część imigracji do Anglii. Inną grupą szczegółowo scharakteryzowaną i związana z Imperium Kolonialnym Wielkiej Brytanii są przybysze z Azji, a w szczególności z Pakistanu, Indii i Bangladeszu. Obecnie bardzo znacząca mniejszość etniczna w Liverpoolu jak i całej Anglii. Mniejszością zamykającą ten rozdział są Chińczycy, których osada w Liverpoolu jest uznawana za najstarsze Chinatown w Europie. W zakończeniu zawarte są konkluzje na temat wielokulturowości w Liverpoolu, jego znaczenia i trudności jakie ze sobą niesie.

Thesis 'Multicultural community of Liverpool. The creation, development and current status "shows picture of Liverpool's community perspectives of its cultural diversity. Showing the differences between social groups with different cultural and distinctive features of the formation of the present situation. In the first chapter we acquaint ourselves with the history of the city; you will find the information about the etymology of the name "Liverpool", important facts about the origins of the city and information about the key moments in the history of Liverpool. With an emphasis on those that have had the greatest impact on the multicultural nature of society. The second chapter deals with the cosmopolitan nature of Liverpool, its peculiarities and differences in relation to the common understanding of the term. According to some, cosmopolitan Liverpool largely stems from racism and antagonism. The next part of the work is an analysis of the various ethnic groups; they are classified due to the area of origin. The first group concerns a minority of European descent and is described in the third part; the other minority non-European origin is described in chapter four. European minority group have come from Ireland, Wales and Poland The Irish are a minority, which over the years has left the biggest mark on the image, culture and social life of the city. Welsh in the nineteenth century were the second largest ethnic group, and also exerted influence on many aspects of city’s life. Last European group are Poles, as an example of immigrants from the new member states of the European Union, who in 2004 settled in the UK in masses. Chapter Four includes non-European minorities and opens it to the analysis of the Negro minority and the problem of slavery. Liverpool in the eighteenth century was the largest slave trade transfer centre between Africa and North America. This practice had an undeniable influence on the character of the community. The next part of this chapter concerns of ethnic minorities from the former British colony. The immigrants were going to the Caribbean, which in the first half of the twentieth century was a huge part of immigration to England. Another thoroughly characterized group and linked to the Colonial Empire of Great Britain are immigrants from Asia, especially in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh - currently, a significant ethnic minority in Liverpool and across the UK. Minority closing this chapter are Chinese, whose village in Liverpool is recognized as the oldest Chinatown in Europe. Conclusions on multiculturalism in Liverpool, its importance and the difficulties it brings are contained in the ending.
