Geometry of cardioid

Przedmiotem pracy jest przedstawienie geometrycznych własności kardioidy. Omówiona została geneza, występowanie krzywej oraz niezbędne definicje. W głównej części pracy zostały opisane i udowodnione twierdzenia oraz własności kardioidy dotyczące m. in. stycznej do omawianej krzywej, kąta zorientowanego między styczną a prostą wyznaczoną przez spodek i wierzchołek kardioidy.

The aim of the thesis is to present the selected geometric properties of the cardioid curve. The backgrround, occurence of the curve and most important definitions have been discussed in the introduction chapter. The main part of the thesis presents theorems as well as properties, related to the cardioid curve, and their proofs. Most relevant thoerems and properties that have been discussed in the thesis are related to the tangent line to the cardioid; angle oriented between the line tangent to the cardioid and the line determined by the cusp and the vertex of the cardioid.
