The verb of change "ponerse" with colours in the Spanish of golden age

The main objective of this paper is to present the historical state of the structures of the pseudo-copular verb of change "ponerse" with colours (black, white, red, green, yellow, and purple) in the 16th and 17th centuries. After bringing the reader closer to the theoretical framework related to Spanish verbs of change, with emphasis on the verb "ponerse" and constructions that this verb forms with colours, both the quantitative and qualitative results, as well as the observations about the syntax and semantics that arose from the analysis of a corpus created by the pseudo-copular structures of the verb "ponerse" with colours, extracted from CORDE, will be presented.

El objetivo principal del artículo estriba en presentar el estado histórico de las construcciones del verbo pseudo-copulativo de cambio ponerse con colores (negro, blanco, rojo, verde, amarillo y morado) en los siglos 16 y 17. Tras acercar al lector el marco teórico relacionado con los verbos de cambio españoles, con especial énfasis sobre el verbo ponerse y las construcciones que dicho verbo forma con colores, se presentarán tanto los resultados cuantitativos y cualitativos como las observaciones acerca de la sintaxis y la semántica que surgieron del análisis de un corpus creado por las estructuras pseudo-copulativas del verbo ponerse con colores, extraídas del CORDE.
