Celem niniejszej pracy licencjackiej było usystematyzowanie wiadomości dotyczących baśni oaz opisanie zmian zachodzących w obrębie tego gatunku. Ponadto został poddany analizie motyw Pięknej i bestii rozwijający się na przestrzeni wieków - począwszy od francuskiej wersji baśni poprzez opowiadanie Angeli Carter pt. Oblubienica Tygrysa a skończywszy na tekście Katarzyny Wasilewskiej pt. Blondyna i bestia. Ukryty przekaz zawarty w historii szkaradnego potwora i pięknej, młodej kobiety został odnaleziony dzięki metodom badawczym Władimira Proppa, Brunona Bettelheima oraz Huberta i Els Hermansów.
The main aim of this thesis is to systematize information about fairy tales and to describe changes within. What is more, Beauty and the Beast theme was analysed and it was observed how this theme changes during decades – from the French versions, through 'The Tiger's Bride' by Angela Carter, to ‘Blondyna i bestia’ (Blonde and the Beast) by Katarzyna Wasilewska. The hidden message, which was presented in story about hideous beast and young, beautiful woman was found thanks to Władimir Propp, Brunon Bettelheim, Hubert and Els Hermans’ research.
