Persuasive functions of the addressee expression in the television programme "Tomasz Lis na żywo"

Thesis “Persuasive functions of the addressee expression in the television programme “Tomasz Lis na żywo” (Tomasz Lis Live)” deals with describing relationships between used form and its influence on information. Addressee expressions take a special place here because they link described problem into a wider linguistic issue. It is connected with the form of the statements, political discourse and with persuasive language effect.The aim of the thesis is the analysis and describing the function of the forms of the turn of phrase to the addressee in the Tomasz Lis` programme. The research also takes into consideration the question of dependence between the kind of information, the form of the statement and those elements which can decide on persuasive character of the broadcasted contents. The thesis consists of five chapters. First of them Structure and character of the programme “Tomasz Lis na żywo” is a kind of introduction.Chapter two is dedicated to political discourse. It also mentions a question of a political language and mentions its features such as: colloquialism and assessing.Chapter three is an introduction to issues of functional using of addressee expressions. Subchapter Category of a person and their functions in the communication process shows asymmetry in the range of personal pronouns used in the programme. The second part tells about the complicity of forms emited communicates and its influence on the sender – receiver relations. Chapert four Pragmatic dimension of questions and their place in the act of communication is an attempt of describing the dependences between questions and statements. The next part is a description of the meaning of the addressee expression in the structure of the polemic statement.Chapter five – the last one, consists of two subchapters. First of them is a kind of introduction into the issue of persuasion in the language.

Praca Funkcje perswazyjne zwrotu adresatywnego w programie telewizyjnym "Tomasz Lis na żywo" poświęcona jest określeniu zależności, jakie zachodzą pomiędzy użytą formą a jej oddziaływaniem na komunikat. Szczególne miejsce zajmują zwroty adresatywne, które wpisują omawiane zagadnienie w problematykę o szerszym zasięgu językoznawczym. Wiąże się ono z formą wypowiedzi, dyskursem politycznym, a także perswazyjnym działaniem językowym.Celem rozprawy jest analiza i określenie funkcji form zwrotu do adresata w programie Tomasza Lisa. Badania poruszają także kwestię zależności pomiędzy rodzajem komunikatu, formą wypowiedzi oraz tymi elementami, które mogą decydować o perswazyjnym charakterze nadawanych treści. Rozprawa składa się z pięciu rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich Struktura i charakter programu "Tomasz Lis na żywo" ma charakter wprowadzenia. Rozdział drugi jest poświęcony dyskursowi politycznemu. Ponadto porusza kwestię języka polityki oraz zwraca uwagę na takie jego wyznaczniki, jak: potoczność oraz wartościowanie. Rozdział trzeci ma charakter wprowadzenia w problematykę funkcyjnego zastosowania zwrotów adresatywnych. Próbę określenia zależności, jakie zachodzą pomiędzy pytaniami a wypowiedzią zawiera rozdział czwarty.Natomiast kolejna jego część jest omówieniem znaczenia zwrotu adresatywnego w strukturze wypowiedzi o charakterze polemicznym. Rozdział piąty ma charakter wprowadzenia w problematykę perswazji w języku. Zawiera analizę tych elementów językowych, które decydują o celowości nadawanego komunikatu.
