Adaptation activities of the People's Republic of Poland and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the context of the XX and XXII Congresses of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and their impact on bilateral relations

Praca przedstawia teorię adaptacji politycznej oraz procesy adaptacyjne, podjęte przez Polską Rzeczpospolitą Ludową i Koreańską Republikę Ludowo-Demokratyczną w odpowiedzi na postanowienia XX i XXII Zjazdu KPZR oraz na zmiany w polityce ZSRR, który był głównym partnerem zarówno PRL, jak i KRLD. Niniejsza praca charakteryzuje uwarunkowania potrzeb adaptacyjnych PRL i KRLD, a także podjęte przez oba kraje modele i działania adaptacyjne. Praca opisuje także wpływ procesów adaptacyjnych na sytuację międzynarodową i wewnętrzną obu państw, a także wpływ podjęcia różnych mechanizmów adaptacyjnych na relacje polsko-północnokoreańskie.

This thesis presents the theory of political adaptation and the adaptation processes initiated by the Polish People's Republic and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in response to the decisions of the 20th and 22nd Congresses of the CPSU and to changes in the policy of the USSR, which was the main partner of both the PPR and the DPRK. This work characterizes the conditions for the adaptation needs of the PPR and the DPRK, as well as the adaptation activities and models adopted by both countries. The work also describes the influence of adaptation processes on the international and internal situation of both countries, as well as the consequences of implementing various adaptation mechanisms on Polish-North Korean relations.
