Planning career by students of Economics. Application of John Holland’s theory.

Tematem pracy jest planowanie kariery zawodowej studentów Ekonomii oraz zastosowanie teorii Johna Hollanda. Teoria ta odnosi się do profilów osobowości zawodowej każdego człowieka. Przeprowadzone badania dotyczyły weryfikacji preferencji zawodowych studentów oraz miały na celu zbadanie homogeniczności grupy. Analiza otrzymanych wyników wykazała, że przebadana grupa nie jest jednorodna pod względem przejawianych preferencji i zainteresowań zawodowych. Na podstawie badań można zauważyć rozbieżności w otrzymanych kodach. Jedynie niewielka ilość osób posiada kod osobowości zawodowej zgodny z kodem przyjętym dla zawodu Ekonomisty.

The topic of the thesis is planning career by students of Economics and application of John Holland's theory. This theory refers to the occupational profile of each person. The study concerned the verification of professional preferences of students and aimed to investigate the homogeneity of the group. Analysis of the results showed that the tested group is not homogeneous in terms of expression of preferences and career interests. Based on the survey there can be seen differences in codes. Only a small number of people have a code of occupational consistent with adopted code for the profession of Economist.
