AbstraktAdministracja centralna to cały złożony układ organizacyjno-funkcyjny, który tworzą organy, urzędy i inne podmioty oraz instytucje powołane do realizowania zadań administracji publicznej w ramach ich właściwości obejmującej skałę całego państwa. Administracja centralna stanowi część składową administracji publicznej, sięgającą najwyższego piętra władzy i mającą przymioty administracji rządowej.W Księstwie napoleońska administracja publiczna zbudowana została w oparciu o zasadę centralizacji, hierarchiczności, podległości służbowej i osobowej oraz jednoosobowego kierownictwa, nominacji, fachowości i resortowości. Administracja w Księstwie skopiowana była z francuskiej. Problematyka działalności administracji centralnej Księstwa Warszawskiego podzielona została w niniejszej pracy na cztery rozdziały. Pierwszy rozdział opisuje powstanie Księstwa i ważne wydarzenia z tym związane, rozdział drugi skupia się na działalności organów jednoosobowych administracji. Organami takimi w tamtejszych czasach byli król oraz ministrowie. Rozdział trzeci przedstawia organy kolegialne Księstwa które odegrały bardzo ważną rolę w jego istnieniu. Opisuję tu funkcjonowanie Rady Ministrów, Rady Stanu, Izby Edukacyjnej oraz Głównej Izby Obrachunkowej.W ostatnim, czwartym rozdziale dowiadujemy się jaki był kres istnienia Księstwa Warszawskiego i jak zakończyły się losy państwa.
