Grupa ta jest często utożsamiana z tzw. „Manosferą” – ideologicznym ekosystemem zróżnicowanych grup, prezentującym się jako miejsce przeznaczone specjalnie dla mężczyzn, bezpieczne od zagrażającego ich bezpieczeństwu feminizmu lub „ginocentryzmu”. Ze względu na cechującą ich silną mizoginię oraz zbrodnie dokonane przez powiązane z nimi osoby, m.in Elliota Rodgera czy Aleka Minassiana, środowisko okryło się złą sławą. Celem pracy jest prezentacja i analiza żargonu inceli pod kątem tworzonego przezeń obrazu samych siebie oraz innych mężczyzn. Język ten jest badany pod kątem natury stosunku inceli do samych siebie oraz mężczyzn nienależących do ich grupy. W pracy zawarto także rozdział poświęcony krótkiej historii tzw. Red Pilla – filozofii stanowiącej ideologiczne podstawy Manosfery – oraz ujęciu tej filozofii stosowanemu przez inceli. Materiał badawczy stanowią wpisy z anglojęzycznego forum incels.co. Praca została oparta o terminy z dziedziny analizy dyskursu, jak również o badania Michaela Alexandra Kirkwooda Hallidaya nad antyjęzykami.

Incels (from: involuntarily celibate) are a primarily Internet-based subculture of men who are unable (for various reasons) to enter sexual and romantic relationships. The group is often associated with the "Manosphere" – an ideological ecosystem of diverse groups, which presents itself as a place for men, safe from feminism or “gynocentrism” that is to threaten their safety. In recent years, incels became infamous for their strong misogyny, as well as for crimes committed by persons associated with them, e.g. by Elliot Rodger or Alek Minassian.The thesis is a demonstration and an analysis of the parts of incelspeak that focus on and create a certain image of incels themselves, as well as other men. The jargon is examined to determine the true sentiments that incels display towards each other and men outside of their group. The thesis also includes a chapter outlining the history of “the Red Pill”, a philosophy that became the ideological foundation for the Manosphere. The chapter also elaborates on the Red Pill’s relationship with the incel ideology. The research material consists of samples gathered from the Internet forum incels.co. The thesis makes use of tools from discourse analysis and of Michael Alexander Kirkwood Halliday’s work on anti-languages.
