An image of Germans in Konstantin Fedin's novel "Cities and Years"

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie obrazu Niemców podczas I wojny światowej na podstawie powieści "Miasta i lata" Konstantego Fiedina. Zamysłem analizy jest wskazanie ścieżek interpretacyjnych do dalszych badań nad powieścią. W oparciu o szkice badaczy literatury współczesnej, korzystając z hermeneutycznych metod badawczych, omówiono trzy główne zagadnienia. Praca dyplomowa podzielona została na dwa rozdziały, wstęp i zakończenie. Zawiera także rosyjskojęzyczne streszczenie. W pierwszym rozdziale zaprezentowano zarys genezy i problematyki utworu. Podjęta zostaje również analiza genologiczna. W drugim rozdziale opisano obraz nienawiści i miłości jako nowej filozofii człowieka w czasach dehumanizacji.

The aim of this thesis is to present the image of Germans during the First World War based on the novel "Cities and Years" written by Konstantin Fedin. The intention of the analysis is to indicate the interpretation paths for further research on the novel. Based on the sketches of researchers of modern literature, using the hermeneutic research methods, three main issues are discussed. Thesis has been divided into two chapters, introduction and conclusion. It also contains a Russian-language summary. The first chapter presents an outline of the novel's genesis and issues. Genological analysis is also undertaken. The second chapter describes the image of both hate and love as a new human philosophy in the times of dehumanization.
